Items and places
Put something into a "reliable place" and forgot where
to again?
Not anymore. Use this simple widget when you put something
somewhere to memorize and recollect its location.
Memorizing items
- Fill in "item" field.
- Fill in "place" field.
- Press "Apply" button.
All items are stored locally in your device using local storage. All saved items are added to list so you can select them later (drop-down for "item" field).
Recollecting places
- Select item from drop-down list in "item" field.
- Saved place should appear in "place" field.
- Edit "place" field and press "apply" if you need to change place for that item.
Removing items from list
- Select item from drop-down list in "item" field.
- Leave "place" field blank.
- Press "Apply" button.
About
I created this project because I kept forgetting where I put different items that I can need in distant future. Even when one says "remember: I put this over there", when time passes, it can be hard to recollect where exactly "over there" is.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a lightweight tool that server the only purpose: memorizing and recollecting for you what you put and where? Now such tool exists (it may or may not have existed previously, I didn't check).
You can send it to home screen of your device to have qiuck access when you need it.

Make sure that you have another copy of your item/location mapping elsewhere if it is really critical for you to recollect the locations. Better safe than sorry.
Privacy
This site does not use any cookies or other technology to track you. The only thing used is localStorage that keeps list of item/location mapping. This list is not sent anywhere and is stored only on your device.
